Mixed ClimateThe purpose of this 2002 study was to determine the primary leakage paths and causes of water penetration associated with windows and the window-to-wall interface. Accomplishment of this goal facilitated development of recommendations for various industry sectors in addressing water penetration issues. The study does not address other performance issues associated with windows such as condensation control, air tightness and structural adequacy.
