RDH Building Science is looking for a Proposal Manager to join the Marketing and Communications team. The primary role of the RDH Proposal Manager is to own and oversee the full cycle of proposal delivery and develop and maintain a leads pipeline while facilitating progress around potential projects. They’re an integral part of business development and can make recommendations to the team.

The Proposal Manager demonstrates knowledge, drive, and passion for the AEC engineering industry, strategizing for growth, and enhancing RDH’s reputation.

This role works in collaboration with the Marketing Director and other senior leaders and building scientists across companies to grow our market sectors, refine internal proposal processes, and facilitate business strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, manage, and collaborate on proposals for various building science disciplines
  • Facilitate proposal planning and execution including organizing, outlining, writing, editing, and reviews
  • Assist in quality control efforts
  • Review RFP requirements, facilitate a GNG process, develop strategies for responses, and coordinate activities for other proposal team members
  • In partnership with marketing, develop general use qualifications, proposals, and presentation messaging and content
  • Lead and develop SF330 and other responses for government agencies
  • Own the proposal process, and proactively suggest improvements and develop reusable materials
  • Set up and establish proposal work plans and file organization, and support administrative teams (Project Assistants, Project Mangers, and Project Principals)
  • Conduct post-submission and post-award debriefs and participate in lessons-learned activities
  • Gather and organize proposal content to meet Request for Proposal (RFP) or other evaluation criteria from the client
  • Format and layout proposal pages, resumes, and project case studies
  • Maintain and update resume and case studies
  • Organize and maintain proposal folders on filesharing systems
  • Generate ideas and help create/edit graphics for proposals

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Art History, Design, Business, English, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in AEC

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Self-motivated, ability to multi-task while maintaining organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and attention to detail
  • Understanding of AEC terminology and project delivery methods
  • Ability to work under multiple deadlines and compressed schedules
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while meeting standards and timely delivery
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion
  • People-oriented
  • Writing and editing experience
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Teams
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Open Asset
  • Understanding of government, education, and civic procurement processes

BENEFITS AND PERKS:

The base salary range for this position is $90,000 – $100,000 annualized for a full-time role. Salary is dependent various factors, including qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for discretionary incentives and share ownership.
